Robin Blom
I am a Professor of journalism in the School of Journalism and Strategic Communication and the director of the Unified Research Lab (URL) at Ball State University with an affiliate faculty position in the honors college. I also served as the graduate director of our master's program in journalism from 2015 until 2022. I am a former Ball Brothers Foundation Honors College Faculty Fellow (2020-2022), which allowed me to develop and teach Eyewitness misidentification and social injustice and Pseudoscience and conspiracy, theories, and teach the honors thesis writing course.

Before transitioning into academia, I was a local reporter at national and regional daily newspapers in The Netherlands. Some of my stories were about alcohol use by minors in rural communities, court cases involving sexual abuse victims, and protests against street violence. On a lighter note, it was fun to cover the birth of animals in the Rotterdam Zoo and write about concerts of Shakira, The White Stripes, Paul McCartney, Stereophonics, Tiesto, and others.
